When in the design process does Eggrock need to be involved?
Eggrock needs to be involved prior to the completion of construction drawings. It is important that we be involved early in the process so that all the architectural, MEP, and logistical issues can be planned for in advance.
What kind of designs does Eggrock offer?
Eggrock's bathrooms are custom designed and project specific. We offer no standard designs. However we are very familiar with major hotel standards for common brands. We build the bathroom you want. We also offer full design services if you would like to outsource the entire interior design elements of the bathroom.
How does the bathroom integrate with our floor?
Eggrock engineers each bathroom for seamless integration into the building. Our floors are designed to match the surrounding floor system. When complete, our bathrooms are indistinguishable from site-built except they have a higher finish quality.
What about building codes?
Eggrock ensures that each bathroom meets the applicable building codes. Generally, our bathrooms are non load-bearing and sit within the approved structural and fire-rated assemblies. It is best to think of our bathrooms as a large appliance. Also, our bathrooms are completely visible for inspection from the outside so the local building inspector can inspect the unit prior to installation.

How do these bathrooms compare in cost to site built?
Eggrock bathrooms can be more or less expensive on a direct cost basis compared to site-built bathrooms, depending on location. Our experience is that we are comparable to site-built costs yet we provide a very high degree of value by delivering an unmatched level of quality and greatly simplifying the construction process.
How do you prevent damage during transport?
Eggrock uses state-of-the-art computer modeling to ensure that structural designs will withstand the stresses of transportation and lifting. Eggrock bathrooms are built to a much higher level of structural quality than site-built in order to achieve these benefits. Each bathroom is packaged to ensure it can withstand the elements typical to the construction site. We ship test all our bathrooms to ensure they can withstand transportation stresses.
What types of construction can you work with?
Eggrock works with all types of construction including timber, poured concrete, and block and plank.

How do you ensure quality?
Each bathroom is factory tested and inspected prior to shipment. This includes 120 point visual inspection for workmanship quality as well as electrical circuit tests and air-pressure testing of plumbing systems. We also produce a reference bathroom that each customer approves prior to the production run.
How do the bathrooms go into the building?
All bathrooms are built ahead of schedule so you are guaranteed they will be there when needed. Delivery sequencing depends on the construction type and schedule, but at the appropriate time, the bathrooms are either dropped in place or slid-in from the side.
How much do they weigh?
A typical 8x9 bathroom weighs about 2000 pounds and can be easily lifted and positioned.

Why should I consider this technology?
Bathrooms are one of the most difficult, time-consuming, and fragile parts of any construction project. A typical hotel bathroom requires eight trades and 58 separate trips to each bathroom in order to complete construction. In addition, it is not uncommon for the bathroom to account for the majority of punch list items. The Eggrock factory-built technology results in the same bathroom, faster, better, and less expensive overall for the owner.
How do the bathrooms fit into my construction schedule?
The bathrooms are actually produced ahead of time in our factory and the delivery is coordinated to match the construction schedule. Bathrooms are placed in the building as it is erected.
How do you integrate the plumbing?
The plumbing is engineered ahead of time to integrate into the plumbing scheme. The units are designed for simple field hook-up. A typical hook-up consists of connecting three waste lines to the plumbing riser, a single hot/cold water supply connection, and connection of one or two electrical cables to a local junction box.
