Project Estimator

Eggrock is seeking a project estimator to support the sales process for our pre-fabricated bathrooms. This position has responsibility to ensure projects are costed accurately for quoting purposes.

Responsibilities:

Use current company costing systems, including ERP system and excel models, to accurately estimate all costs for potential jobs, including all materials and labor.
Work with the materials dept to understand material cost trends and be able to jointly cost new materials on a job to job basis.
Be able to review bathroom plans, either in pdf or dwg format (AutoCAD), to be able to accurately estimate materials usage.
Be able to develop and deliver full quotation packages to Eggrock sales team members based on target margins and including options for value engineering with price impact analysis.
Work in a team based model to support sales team to assist in closing new business. Some direct client interaction will be required.
Develop a thorough understanding of all material specification and recommended uses. Investigate alternate materials and methods to improve quality, customer functionality, and reduce cost.
Work with the design engineering and sales teams in a collaborative atmosphere to successfully transfer designs and bills of materials into production.
Work directly with the company CEO, VP Sales, and sales team to design bathroom pods for quotation and presentations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree, preferably in a financial or business focused area of study
5+ yrs of estimating / costing experience in a construction environment.
Prior experience working with AutoCAD and reviewing architectural plans
Good computer skills, especially with MS Office apps and Excel in particular.
Articulate. Ability to interact directly with customers. Professional demeanor.
Team player with good people skills
